An Extraordinary Witness (02-05-12)The message that Stephen delivered to the religious rulers was not received with an open heart willing to turn to God. Stephen spoke with conviction, motivated by love, exactly what needed to be said. Stephen may not have lived a very long life, but the life he did live he lived fully for the glory of God.
Main Passage: Acts 6-7

Kingdom Messengers (01-29-12)The members of the early Church set an amazing example for us to follow. In the face of supernatural miracles being performed they remained humble. When under trmendous pressure they remained courageous. When persecuted they expressed joy. How about you?
Main Passage: Acts 5:12-42

The Deadly Game (01-22-12)The way that the early church believers rallied together spoke volumes about the work that God was doing in the lives of his people. When we seek to put on a front so we can gain status of men instead of maintaining a life of integrity with God we are playing a very deadly game.
Main Passage: Acts 4:32 - 5:11

When the World Reacts (01-15-12)There may be times when you are telling the Good News of Jesus and the world responds by asking you to stop. The model we ought to follow is that of the first generation of believers who simply proclaimed that they couldn't stop. Once they recognized God's sovereignty over all things they prayed for boldness and for God to do miraculous things. God answered both prayers.
Main Passage: Acts 4:1-31

The Hands of Jesus (01-08-12)As the saying goes, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." The sermon that Peter gives in Acts 3 reveals the Messiah, Jesus Christ, came to forgive sin so that times of refreshing will come. Christ has called us to be the hands that reach out with compassion in power of the name of Jesus.
Main Passage: Acts 3:1-26; Romans 1:16

Kingdom Living Now: Impacting Our World (01-01-12)As a new year begins it's important for us to evaluate our lives, both individually and corporately as a church, and consider what needs to be done so that we can continue to make the most out of the lives we have been given to impact our world for Christ.
Main Passage: Acts 2:42-46

The Keys of the Kingdom (12-04-11)The Kingdom of God that was prophesied of by the prophets of the Old Testament was offered to Israel by Jesus the Messiah. When the Israelites rejected Jesus the keys of the Kingdom were then offered to the Gentiles. The Kingdom of God is alive in all of those who put their trust in Jesus as he works through us to do exactly what he came to do.
Main Passages: Matthew 16:17-19; Acts 2:16-21; Acts 3:13-26; Acts 4:8-12

The Book of Revelation (11-27-11)Special Guest Speaker: Jason Nightingale of Word Sower International.
Mr. Nightingale reciting from memory the entire book of Revelation.
(Because of the length of the recording we had to make a very low quality recording to post online. You can purchase high quality recordings by Jason though his ministry and all proceeds would support his ministry.)

Waiting for the Kingdom (11-13-11)After Jesus resurrected from the grave he rose into the sky and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven until it is time for him to return again to establish the literal physical Kingdom God has promised. Today we eagerly await his return. In the meantime it is important for us to understand that waiting for the return of Christ doesn't mean sitting in a waiting room idley twiddling our thumbs. We are challenged to be obedient to the instruction we find in the Scriptures of living godly lives eagerly anticipating the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Main Passages: Acts 1; John 14:15-29; James 2:26

Messiah: Kingdom Living Now (Part 2) (11-06-11)After Jesus was rejected by the religious leaders and was crucified he was buried and rose again on the third day just as he had said he would! Jesus came back from the grave with a command to everyone who believed in him-- to go into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit and preach the good news of the forgiveness of sins by faith in Jesus.
Main Passages: Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:6-11; Ephesians 2:13-22

Messiah: Kingdom Living Now (Part 1) (10-30-11)The picture of who the Messiah would be was foretold by the prophets of Israel long before Jesus ever set his physical foot on the earth. Everything that was spoken of by the prophets was fulfilled in the person and ministry of Jesus Christ. When the religious leaders heard what Jesus had to say and observed what he did they rejected him and plotted to kill him and destroy all evidence that he was the Messiah, which included killing Lazarus whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
Main Passage: John 1:1-14

Messiah and the Old Testament (10-23-11)When God gave the Law to Moses and the Israelites he was continuing to work out his eternal unchanging plan. When God sent his son, Jesus Christ, he was fulfilling that eternal plan. What the Law was incapable of doing was fully accomplished in the person of Christ. Though we are no longer under the Old Testament Law we are not lawless. God's Spirit deals with our inner attitudes and motivates us to live right before God, not as ritual but as relationship.
Main Passages: Matthew 5:17-19, Romans 7-8

Messiah and Scripture (10-16-11)Jesus Christ lived his life under the authority of the Scriptures. In every way he his the complete fulfillment of what the Scriptures were pointing to. By living under the authority of the Scriptures Jesus impacted the world. He issues the same calling for those who follow him to live under the same authority so they can have the same powerful impact on the world.
Main Passage: Matthew 5:17-19

Kingdom Living Now - Right Attitudes- Part 3 (10-09-11)Jesus describes his followers as people who seek to bring peace to the world and situations. He tells us that when we live according to the principles he describes that there will be people who oppose us. What is your attitude towards conflict?
Main Passage: Matthew 5:9-12

Kingdom Living Now - Salt and Light (10-02-11)Speaker: Robin Porter, Director of Student Ministries
The portrait that Jesus paints of the true disciple (the Beatitudes) is not a new set of rules that God intends people to follow so that they can somehow earn God's favor. God's desire is that when we see how perfect his standard is that we turn to him because we could never live up to it in our own strength. Once we let go of the instinct to try and impress God with our good behavior he is able to use us as salt and light in the world.
Main Passage: Matthew 5:13-16; Colossians 4:5-6; Philippians 2:14-16
