May 30, 2019

Updates for the week of May 30, 2019:

Regarding Mark Boyer from Dallas on Wednesday, May 29:
“Today when we arrived to visit Mark, he was eager to show us how he can stand alone without assistance — I have a minute and thirty eight second video of him standing.  He is scheduled to be evaluated on his progress tomorrow (Thursday, May 30) at 10 am.  They will submit their evaluation next Thursday and therapy will continue likely through the following week, completing 4 weeks of therapy or possibly continuing for another couple of weeks.  His speech is making more improvement as well.  Please continue to pray for his continuing improvement and recovery.”  Dallas, Nancy and Mark Boyer

Please continue to pray for Debbie McBee as plans and decisions are made after her mom passing away on Monday, May 27.

Prayer Request from Matt Collins:  Last Saturday, May 25, our family suffered an unexpected loss.  Elaine’s brother-in-law, Jason Lee (husband to Elaine’s oldest sister Amy) passed away unexpectedly while getting treated at a hospital.  Amy and Jason have 2 boys, Judah and Tristan.

Karee Byington’s niece Rebecca and her husband Russell have a new baby, Sam, born on May 22.  He remains in PICU in the hospital in Spokane after being diagnosed with pneumonia. As of today (May 30), there is no change in his lungs and he remains on oxygen and antibiotics.  His heart has tested as good and he has gained 5 oz.  Please pray for baby Sam and the family.

Update from the Chapmans in Oklahoma:  They are safe — lots of rain and wind but no damage or flooding.  There are frequent storm warnings and they are glued to the TV for news.  Please pray for their continued safety and for the storms to be over soon.

Please continue to pray for Pat Babcock.  Doug & Sally Hoy visited with her this week — they said she was quite alert and enjoyed the visit.  We are going every other Wednesday now and the next visit will be on June 12 — if you would like to be scheduled for that day from 3:00-3:30 pm, let me know.

Tessa Johnston began immuno therapy treatments on May 26 and they will continue until June 18 (1st of 6 sessions).  She will spend some time at home and some time in the hospital during each session.

Colleen Gulstrom (Gardenhire’s daughter) broke her ankle — please pray for a speedy recovery.

Dawn Black will be leaving EBF at the end of the school year as she and Jim retire in Sequim.  We want to honor her with aGoing Away Breakfast at 9:30 am on June 9 — this is a church-wide event (come whether you normally attend the 9:30 am hour or not).  We want her to know how much we love her and will miss her.  Please sign up with how many from your family will be attending on your bulletin registration slip on Sunday or respond to this email.
